- What: Pipe and valve installations, repairs, and replacements.
- Where: Knole Park, Schaapkraal, Strandfontein, Strandfontein Pavilion, parts of Lotus River, Phumlani, Eagle Park, Pelican Park, Peacock Close, Pelican Heights, and the Deep South.
- When: Starting Saturday, 20 December, from 3 PM until midnight on Monday, 22 December.
Why the Disruption? The team will temporarily shut down a large bulk water pipeline (1,500mm to 1,220mm diameter) in Ottery Road, Philippi, to repair a leaking scour valve. - Knole Park & Schaapkraal: Low water pressure to no water.
- Strandfontein: Low water pressure.
- Strandfontein Pavilion & Pelican Heights: Low water pressure to no water.
- Parts of Lotus River, Phumlani, Eagle Park, Pelican Park, & Peacock Close: Low water pressure.
- Deep South: Lower pressure due to rerouted water supply.
Important Note: Once repairs are complete, it’ll take time for the distribution network to stabilize. Don’t be alarmed if your water appears discolored or milky initially—it’s just trapped air and will clear up if left to stand.
Additional Disruptions:
- University Estate, parts of Woodstock, Groote Schuur Hospital, and surrounding areas will also face disruptions starting Sunday, 21 December, from 9 AM until work is completed. During this time, water supply will be completely shut off, but water tankers will be available.

- Keep taps closed to prevent damage.
- Store enough clean, sealed water to last through the disruption.
